The inspiration for writing the book came from a familiar experience seen through unfamiliar eyes/nWriting the book allowed the author to explore personal questions about social mobility, race, class, work identity, and technology/nThe women in Hidden Figures were overlooked because they didn't have a sense of being hidden themselves and were visible to each other and their colleagues/nThe nature of the work, as well as segregation and societal perceptions, contributed to their invisibility in history/nRegular people play a significant role in shaping history and there is an increasing interest in their contributions
