Discipline needs to be integrated into daily habits to ensure long-term sustainability. Changing habits later in life requires complete commitment without exceptions. Avoid rewarding yourself with old behaviors when trying to establish new habits. Recovery from old patterns requires continuous effort to reinforce new neural networks. To cultivate discipline effectively, study yourself, fully commit to the change, incorporate behavioral actions, and consistently work on it daily.
