NOTE

The Two Types of Curiosity: Deprivation vs Interest

Curiosity can be both motivating and enjoyable. However, there are two types of curiosity: deprivation curiosity and interest curiosity. Deprivation curiosity arises when we lack information and our brain pushes us to seek it. Interest curiosity, on the other hand, is the act of being genuinely interested and curious about something without a specific goal. While curiosity can be helpful in many situations, it may not be the best option when dealing with anxiety or when you already know how something feels in your body. In those cases, finding alternative strategies may be more beneficial.
