Behind The Tech with Kevin Scott

NOTE

Technological Shifts Driven by Accessibility and Usability

The evolution of technology from being inaccessible and challenging to highly usable and ubiquitous is recurring, reminiscent of the PC revolution driven by Moore's Law. Similarly, the current phase shift is fueled by the accessibility of AI, which has transitioned from a complex technology to an easily leveraged tool, primarily due to advancements in compute power. This shift parallels the underlying influence of computers and Moore's Law in driving technological progress. Additionally, the human-like behavior of LLMs, acquired through training on human data, has made coding skills less essential, marking a return to a technology landscape where specialized coding knowledge is not a prerequisite.
