However, relying solely on machines may lead to a loss of effort and the manipulation of free will. Machine learning cannot fully account for the quirks in human preferences. People often dismiss potential partners based on small deviations from their ideal narrative of a relationship. Getting to know someone goes beyond their looks or what they can do for you. Connection and compatibility involve other dimensions of a person's personality that dating apps might not capture. While algorithms may deliver what you think you want, the drudgery of meeting people and figuring out your true desires can lead to finding what you actually need.
