NOTE

The Importance of Community in Discipleship

A survey found that 38% of respondents preferred 'on my own' as their method of discipleship, indicating a strong individualistic approach to following Jesus. However, it is emphasized that true Christianity involves being part of a concrete community, embracing human faults and tensions. The essence of Christianity is to be together in a community and spirituality for a Christian can never be an individualistic quest. The pursuit of God outside of community, family, and church is not in line with the teachings of Christianity. Loving an invisible God in heaven requires also loving a visible neighbor on earth, emphasizing the importance of community in the practice of faith.
