Value of Films Beyond Box Office Success
Box office success is not the sole measure of a film's worth. Even if a film doesn't make its money back, the director still feels a responsibility to ensure viewers do not feel their time and resources were wasted. Financial responsibility is essential, but a film's success should not solely be determined by its box office performance. The quality of a film should be judged independently of its financial success.
