Leading in Technology Leads to Dominant Power
The country that leads in technology becomes the dominant power in the world, as seen with the Netherlands, Britain, and the United States in different centuries. Currently, the United States is the leader in technology, evident in industries like information revolution, biotech, nano tech, and AI. US technology companies have market caps larger than entire countries like Britain, France, Germany, and Canada combined. The US leads in energy production and has strong banks. Demographically, the US is vibrant due to immigration, unlike other rich countries facing population decline. Despite the technological and economic strengths, internal dysfunction is seen as a barrier to effectively handling global rivals like China and Russia.
