Dropping Film Canister from Space with Retro Rockets and Parachutes
In a daring mission, a canister with delicate film was dropped from space. Retro rockets were used to reaccelerate it out of orbit and into the atmosphere. The film was protected by a custom designed canister called the film bucket. After enduring intense heat and action, the heat shield was jettisoned and parachutes were deployed. The film canister was then caught midair by a passing airplane using a towing claw.
