This is a theoretically complex discussion that, among other things, draws on and examines long running marxus debates over the transition to capitalism from feudalism. To determine what exactly to make of to day's political economic order, i try to break things down as much as possible. But it's a balance between doing that and going deeper into the debates and analysis. So you may need to hit rewind or to look up a concept or two the scholars that morisov is critiquing. And there are a lot of variations, marxist and non marxist, of this argument that will cover.
Featuring Evgeny Morozov on his essay "Critique of Techno-Feudal Reason." Thinkers from the Marxist left all the way to the neoliberal and even neo-reactionary right are convinced that we’ve exited capitalism entirely and entered neo-feudalism. Morozov argues that our bleak moment is in fact still a thoroughly capitalist one.
