O’Brien was a founding partner of the LA based boutique law firm Larson O’Brien LLP, and has worked in various legal and campaign roles for politicians such as Mitt Romney, Scott Walker, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump. He has also served as an Ambassador to various countries like Israel and Taiwan during incredibly uneasy moments in recent history, including work on the Abraham Accords. In this field, he has also negotiated successfully to free Americans held captive abroad.
