The Importance of Empirical Groundwork in Leadership

After our discussion today, I've realized that my brilliant insight may not be so applicable. Making judgments about launching attacks or assessing domestic politics is complex and idiosyncratic. Talking to experts who do empirically grounded work is more helpful. It's important to set the right incentives for foreign and national security policy. My mind has been changed, it's not all about prior beliefs.
