In recent years, there has been a shift in using gender-neutral language to be more inclusive. However, this can be seen as sidelining women's experiences for some feminists. The word 'woman' holds power and should not be disregarded. Rowling believes that women's issues should be addressed directly. She acknowledges that her strong reaction may be influenced by the current oppressive atmosphere and spending more time online.
