Satoshi's understanding of the risks and his ability to create a system without a single point of failure is remarkable. Altcoins create complexity and centralization, making them less desirable. Bitcoin's emergence without a price and its ability to solve initial bugs without financial motives contribute to its uniqueness. Other systems are unlikely to achieve the same level of decentralization.
