Jihadist tactics include using civilians as human shields, building headquarters under hospitals, schools, and mosques, firing rockets from populated areas, and preventing people from evacuating to maximize innocent life loss. This behavior, which has become normalized, has led to a lack of trust in apparent surrendering or innocent individuals. The culture of religious fanaticism has normalized nihilistic behavior, such as rigging children to explode, and teaching the love of martyrdom to six-year-olds. This behavior, rooted in the doctrines of martyrdom and jihad unique to Islam, makes conflicts with jihadists more complex and challenging than other types of conflicts, extending beyond nationalism and ordinary grievances.
