NBA athletes often go bankrupt due to social debt, as they feel obligated to help their family and friends with their newfound wealth. This social debt is difficult to track but always present. Even average people experience social debt when they earn more money. The ideal situation in life is to be rich and anonymous, while being poor and famous is the worst.
