Wilbur Wright, one of the brothers who built the first airplane, emphasized the importance of solving the safety problem before focusing on the motor. He recognized that a safe descent was crucial in preventing disastrous falls, allowing for the development of airplanes. The current focus in AI is mainly on engine development, with few working on improving glider design. Without investing in gliders and wing control, the default result is a Type 1 engine.
