Acetaminophen Levels in Self-Harming Patients

Use activated charcoal early for pediatric patients who have been exposed to acetaminophen. Check their acetaminophen levels four hours after exposure. Activate charcoal can be given up to two hours after exposure and the dose should be ten times the amount of the ingested drug.
