Navigating Desires and Global Capitalism

In a global capitalist society, the key ethical choice is to never betray your desires. However, when embedded in a system that dictates desires and offers specific incentives, taking control of desires becomes essential. One approach is to master the art of saying 'I would prefer not to,' allowing a new form of subjectivity to emerge by rejecting the prevailing ideological structures. Global capitalism shapes our desires, leading even our acts of protest to inadvertently support the system. The perpetuation of capitalism doesn't stem from a few evil capitalists but from the collective actions of individuals striving to maintain their lives within the system. Many left-leaning individuals avoid discussing revolutionary options openly to prevent dilution of their ideas into mere commodities. Escaping such a system necessitates non-participation.
