Iran as a State
Iran sees itself as the major Shia power and believes it has ownership of Shia communities worldwide. They also see Israel as an alien insert that doesn't belong in the region. Despite obstacles, Iran believes this divinely ordained destiny will happen. This poses challenges for negotiating with a state that believes this is inevitable, especially regarding the nuclear deal and its implications for Israel.
