Effectiveness of Strategic Bombing

The effectiveness of strategic bombing is still undecided. The current methods may not be sufficient with regards to types of bombs used and aircraft employed. The technological advancements have not aligned with theoretical strategies. There is a belief that using nuclear weapons could boost morale, but historically, bombing Germany to rubble did not necessarily lead to surrender, rather it induced numbness among the population.
