The individual faced significant challenges while trying to publish essays and a column while being extremely sick and undergoing a bone marrow transplant. The process was slow, frustrating, and exhausting due to new physical limitations, requiring work in short increments with frequent naps. Despite feeling frustrated at times, the individual persisted through the difficulties.
