Efficient Training with Supersets

Training close to failure or with heavy loads may not be suitable for peripheral supersets due to high cardiorespiratory demand. For submaximal training days, using agonist peripheral supersets can be effective for efficient workouts. Agonist antagonist supersets, such as bench press and row, or leg extension and leg curl, can increase volume compared to traditional sets, possibly due to increased muscle group rest.
