The Expansion of Jewish Communities in Germany
In the early 90s, Germany invited Jews from the collapsed Soviet Union to become citizens, leading to a large influx of Jews to Germany. This influx expanded Jewish communities in places where there had been none before and resulted in the Jewish population in Germany growing from 30,000 to an estimated 200,000, with about 100,000 to 120,000 officially counted and represented in Jewish communities.
