Building Artificial General Intelligence
The speaker is interested in developing artificial intelligence systems that are general and capable of thinking like humans. After the collapse of a company, the speaker delved deeper into the subject and was convinced, especially after reading Ray Kurzweil's book, that very powerful AI systems will emerge in a few decades. The speaker estimated a 50% chance of achieving what is now known as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) by 2028.
