Is Consciousness an Illusion?

Adtis is strange. I'm very alined with you and people like thomas nagel on these questions in the philosophy of mind. And yet, have had this alliance with dan for many years around the issue of religion and and soit. We've never really gotten into a conversation on consciousness. Perhaps we've been wary of colliding on this topic. But as i've said before, and i really don't see another way of seeing this, it seems to me that consciousness is the one thing in this universe that can't be an illusion. Even if we are confused about everything, even if we are even confused about the the qualitative character of our experience in many important respects
