The Destructive Nature of Narcissism
After 20 years as a psychiatrist, I've observed that narcissism, while not frequent in diagnosis, causes the majority of destructive behavior. Narcissists are driven by deep-seated envy and a sense of inadequacy, leading them to prioritize themselves above all else. They intensely focus on others, but only in relation to themselves. Their actions can be careless and destructive, as they view others' existence as only meaningful in how it affects them.
