Do What You Love

To do what you love, you have to like it and enjoy it. Work and fun should not be seen as opposites. Tediousness is not the defining quality of work. Work should be seen as a preparation for more interesting stuff in the future. The important question is not how to make money, but what to work on. It is important to know how much you like what you do, as underestimating it can lead to settling for something chosen for you by others. Doing what you love means doing what will make you happiest over a longer period. You have to like your work more than unproductive pleasures. The concept of spare time should seem mistaken. If your work is not your favorite thing to do, you will have problems with procrastination and the results may be inferior. To be happy, you have to be doing something you not only enjoy but also admire.
