Reasoning and embodiment
Reason, as described by Lakoff and Johnson, doesn't separate humans from animals but rather places us on a continuum with them due to its embodiment. The concept is about extending beyond mere literal interpretation of the body, as our bodies are intrinsic to reasoning. Animals without language or logical schemas can still solve logical puzzles, evidenced by crows and magpies outperforming human children in certain logical tasks. Understanding the embodiment of reason helps in appreciating the interconnectedness of human intellect with the physical self and the abilities of other beings.
