Ibot lily is't about anyo./nThink you could come up with the focus sentence, rightnw, i'm./nA tool's person, and the focus sentence is a really kickass tool. What's a focus sentence? It's a format that allows you to slot in elements of the story in order to identify the essential question of the story. There are lots of possible variations on the idea. Rob rosenthal, the teacher at the transom workshop, uses one that he found in a book by tod maffin. In his book, from idea to air. It goes like this, someone./nDoes something because, but let's./nGo over that again. Someone, a main character, a protagonist, does./nSomething. The./nProtagonist is in motion, in the middle of living his or her life, because./nThe./nProtagonist has a motivation, inner or outer, for doing whatever it is that he or she is doing. But./nThere./nIs something that stands in his or her way, something that makes this action difficult or problematic, and means that the outcome is unknown.
