Attention Shapes Our Phenomenological World
The brain can attend to the world in two different ways: narrowly focused targeted attention and broad open attention. These two kinds of attention create two phenomenal logical worlds, with the left hemisphere constructing a world of known pieces and the right hemisphere observing the world with broad, open attention. Attention is fundamental and not just another cognitive function; it is how we construct the world we experience.
