Maximizing Equivariance in Neural Networks

Neural networks need to be informed of their dimensional space and rotational properties; this can be achieved through either data-side imposition or hard coding it into the network. While data-side imposition may limit generalizability, hard coding in the network could enhance generalizability, especially for complex simulations like molecular crystallization. A recommended paper on exemplifying equivariance is 'Relative representations enable zero-shot latent space communication', showing that latent spaces from different training runs converge to the same thing, accounting for rotations and scaling.
