The Disconnection Between Education and Job Training
i was born and raised on a chicken farm in rural missouri. I grew up before the internet, so that meant i was starved for knowledge. When i went to university, i had a full right academic scholarship meaning i could study whatever i wanted. And because i was approaching it from a passion for learning, whereas most people were approaching it as job training,. i felt this very profound disconnect between trying to understand how the world works and preparing for a job in the future. This kind of disconnect between me and a lot of the other people at the university. So how do you approach it? How have you approached it personally?
