Making learning easier for students is the most empathetic thing you can do for them.
Teachers often feel ashamed to use the words 'explicit instruction' or 'teacher-led' because they think it makes learning too easy for students. This is a shame because making learning easier is actually the most empathetic thing a teacher can do. Some teachers feel pressure to make learning harder in order to appear cool to outsiders and observers.
