Chunks in Block Production and Consensus Mechanism
Each shard can have up to one chunk in a block, containing information about the produced chunks. Some chunks may be missed due to the chunk producer being unavailable. When a chunk is produced, it is erasure coded and distributed to block producers who sign off on the block only if they have the intended chunk part. Consensus is reached when two thirds of all block producers sign off on the block.
