Communities and ecosystems have downsides when entering, but building from scratch may be a fool's errand as every thriving system grows from a previously thriving one. All communities trace back to an existing motivation or energy source. Finding people with clear motivation and solving their problems can spark the growth of a community. Having customers highly motivated to use a product indicates product-market fit, and reducing barriers can unlock more demand. However, the ability to support the intended size and scope of the opportunity is a critical consideration.
