Christ may have told the apostles not to go to the Gentiles because they were still being prepared for the task. Taking the gospel to everyone is a burden and part of the Abrahamic covenant. Some people may not be ready for the gospel yet. However, God loves all his children and wants to save everyone. The theme is that all are invited to come to Christ, regardless of race or background.
