Western powers, including the United States, European Union, and Australia, recognize the growing influence of BRICS and BRICS Plus nations and are actively working to counter these risks. The G7 has fortified alliances and taken steps to mitigate the impact of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Initiatives such as the European Union's Global Gateway, which seeks to mobilize 300 billion euros for infrastructure projects, aim to balance China's influence. Although uncertainties remain regarding the success of these initiatives compared to the BRI, they represent a concerted effort to counteract the influence of nations like Iran and Russia while the US strengthens its connections in the Indo-Pacific to contain China.
