It is crucial to work with well-known customers to gain credibility. The next segment, the classic adopters, are open to new solutions for unsolved or poorly solved problems. Vendors should focus on over-committing to solving the customer's problem. Scaling occurs by targeting adjacent segments with either a different use case for the same customer or the same use case for a different customer base with the help of customer references or partners.
