NOTE

Hormones and Weight Loss

The endocrine system uses hormones to regulate hunger, society, and the reward system. Incretins, produced by the intestines, help in feeling full and satisfied. Weight loss drugs mimic these hormones to manipulate hunger and control appetite. Hormones such as ghrelin and leptin also play a significant role in hunger regulation, with ghrelin making you feel hungry when the stomach is empty, and leptin being produced by fat in response to excess fat and sugar.
