Different models of adding value to companies

We have two models for adding value to companies: the completely decentralized model where we delegate everything and the opposite model where we provide growth partnership. We prefer the latter because our deal flow usually requires our help. We consider factors such as whether the company is in our deal box and whether we like the founders. We often pass on deals if we don't like the founders or if they lack a big enough vision.
