Distribution of Goods and Resources in Relation to Mode of Production
The distribution of goods and resources is intricately linked to the mode of production. Any distribution of goods is a consequence of the distribution of conditions of production which, in turn, is determined by the mode of production. The capitalist mode of production, for instance, is based on non-workers owning the material conditions of production while the masses possess only their labor power. Attempting to alter distributions without transforming the mode of production by socializing the means of production is considered revisionism and opportunism. Socialism cannot be achieved solely through redistributive policies; it necessitates a revolutionary confrontation with the owning class to socialize the means of production.
