The Limits of Information Extraction and AI Interpretation of Text
Machines can't interpret text, and information extraction is difficult for generic AI systems. Text semantics and pragmatics make it even harder. Movie interpretation is even worse due to image and text context. AI surveillance is naive because interpretation of actions or speech fails. Mass surveillance still requires proper human oversight.
