Imaginary Worlds

NOTE

The Complexity of Historical Narratives

Historical accounts often lack a reliable narrator, leading to more myth than fact. The story of Ishi and San Francisco was told from a biased perspective, aiming to preserve a culture but leaving out significant details. Ursula Krober, Laguin, despite being born a Krober, was deeply influenced by her parents and the academic environment she grew up in. Her father, Alfred, particularly fascinated her with stories about other worlds, except for the family story about her and her father, which she felt was deemed as childish when she was young.
