The Effects of Cortisol on Decision Making
Soldiers' and officers' cortisol levels were monitored hourly, with the lieutenant's levels skyrocketing due to his youth and high level of responsibility. The attack never came, and his levels returned to normal. Special forces' levels dropped upon learning of an impending attack.
