Controlling your own time and being independent can bring happiness and a better life than material possessions. Every dollar saved is a piece of your future you own, while every dollar of debt is owned by someone else. While material possessions can make you happy, independence and autonomy bring lasting happiness that you can never get used to.

There are only a handful of financial rules, ideas, and observations that really move the needle -- and explain the majority of what you need to know to do better with your money.
