Is There a Need for Hypertrophy?
Most people reach maximum muscle growth within the first year of training, and after several years of training, the body enters a maintenance phase where muscle growth is difficult to achieve. Hyper-focused training and optimal diet can help squeeze out a bit more muscle growth, but it is difficult to maintain in a busy life. Studies show that trained individuals still grow, but it is harder to induce growth compared to untrained individuals.
