Duration of sauna sessions for optimal health benefits

Observational study from Finland with over 2,000 sauna users found that 30 minutes per session is sufficient for health benefits. Going beyond 30 minutes does not provide additional benefits. The study also suggests that 10 minutes per session is the optimal duration for healthy stress. The research indicates that you don't need to expose yourself to extreme temperatures for cardiovascular benefits. For cold exposure, one to two minutes per session and 11 minutes per week is enough. For sauna use, the study recommends a total of 57 minutes per week, divided into two to three days and two sessions each day, corresponding to 10 to 15 minutes per session.
