Day 214 (2 Kings 20-21) - Year 6
The Bible Recap
What If Satan Uses Prosperity
Human tendency is to avoid pain, yet it is often in our suffering that we draw closer to God and seek His guidance. Hezekiah’s story illustrates that during hardships, people are more likely to pray and listen to divine wisdom. In times of abundance and blessings, complacency can set in, leading to spiritual distance and a lack of attentiveness to God’s voice. This complacency can allow distractions to creep in, potentially causing us to lose our intimate connection with God. The enemy may not solely depend on hardship to distract us; rather, he may use abundance to toughen our hearts and divert our focus away from what truly matters—our relationship with God. Ultimately, true hope and joy can only be found in trusting God, not in worldly treasures or successes.
