Cobb wants to find a way out. He wants to find a way to clear his conscience. He wants to find a way to deal with his guilt and deal with his trauma. And this is all just a construct that he's able to play with with his subconscious. There's a sentence you use there, which is, this is all just a construct. And I want to flag it now. Okay. Because I love you and it's important to a later point that I need to make. I think fundamentally there's, there was lots of speculation when this came up about where the dream starts, where it ends. Are there three dream layers? Is it all just Cobb in limbo? Is he in a dream at the end? Is he not? Fundamentally, I think because this is Cobb's story and I think he's the character who has the sort of most well fleshed out arc, that end scene where he's dreaming or not doesn't matter because he's where he wants to be. Right. I agree. He wants to be with his kids. Now it matters to his real kids if their dad is back or not. Right. Of course. But to Cobb, Cobb has what he wants. He's found peace. The reason he's not got peace is because his wife killed herself. They were experimenting with living in limbo, building these things. And after a while, Cobb became dissatisfied with the fact that no matter how good a time they were having, he knew it wasn't real. She was more than happy to stay. Now, obviously with the dream, when you die in a dream, you wake up.
